By far one of the most memorable places to visit during your stay at the Farmhouse is the famous mediaeval town of Dinan, often considered one of the most picturesque and stunningly preserved ancient towns in France. Its a particular favorite for our boys at Christmas time as they say that walking up the main street from the harbour to the old town is like walking down Diagon Alley from Harry Potter. Some of our favourite nearby beaches also include the family friendly Saint Cast Le Guildo with its lovely restaurants overlooking the outdoor children's play area as well as Pleneuf Val Andre, Binic & Erquy. Saint Malo is also a wonderful town to discover with its Fort, Ramparts and Beaches and then there is the stunning Jugon Les Lacs with its 4km long Lake located right on your doorstep, which offers water-sports, fishing and a fantastic safe manmade beach, not forgetting the fantastic water-park with fun slides both inside & out. Dolo has just opened its famous BZH Wake Park which is right on your doorstep a great place for an adrenaline filled fun day out for the whole family! For a more relaxing day you could simply walk or cycle to the lovely local village of Plenee Jugon to enjoy a delicious croissant or pastry from one of the busy boulangeries or perhaps a meal in one of the charming restaurants followed by a visit to the stunning church and the newly built park with the kids play area or perhaps simply a stroll along the lovely French cobbled streets. The options are endless but whatever your agenda, you are bound to have an unforgettable holiday!

Of our many years using AirBnB, this may have been our best experience! It fit the bill perfectly for a multi-day countryside getaway for a larger group. The house is spacious, charming and very well appointed. We were a group of three families with young children - it was an ideal environment for both the kids and adults to enjoy themselves, with kids games, trampoline, heated pool, swingset - and incredible bar + game room + gym in attached building. Communication from the owner was impeccable and Andrew, the local property manager, was very professional and attentive. He took extra time to make sure we were settled in and comfortable and gave many valuable tips about the surrounding area, daytrips, etc. We would definitely return - in meantime we wholeheartedly recommend to other travelers.
Brent, Paris -Nov 17This property is outstanding! Although the exterior is a French farmhouse, the interior is complely modern and accommodated well our party of four couples plus one. It is quiet, not hard to find (although you will need a car), and within a few kilometers of an excellent bakery and supermarket. It is just over an hour to Mont Saint Michel, two hours to Omaha Beach, and two hours to the megaliths at Carnac, all of which we were able to visit during our four night stay. There is plenty of hot water, the kitchen is modern and fully-equipped, and the surroundings are bucolic and quiet. We could not have been more pleased with this choice.
Carolyn, USA -Oct 17Wow, it looked amazing in the photos so we had high expectations but was even better in real life. Stayed as two families and the house is perfect for children and adults alike and the hosts really have thought of everything. The barn is super as is the hot tub and pool. Overall excellent all round.
David, UK -Aug 17Even before we arrived the owner Riel was tireless in making sure that the house was arranged in the best way to suit our party of 12 (8 adults plus 4 children from 11 months to 11 years). The house boasted plenty space for the adults to relax and for the children to play, the pool table and table football in the barn were a great diversion away from the games console. The gardens were great for games and the pool/hot-tub a great diversion for hungry youngsters whilst the BBQ was warming up. Although the house is in a very quiet location the local bakeries and Inter-marche were only 5 minutes away by car and within running distance for the more athletic in the party. A great time was had by all, we would love to go back.
Clive Guernsey -July 17Nicole was excellent in communicating with us before our arrival. She made us very welcome and prepared the place to be extra safe for our two year old. We had a wonderful time there!
Ellie, UK -July 17We had a lovely May half term at the farmhouse. The kitchen is equipped with pretty much every utensil you could ask for! The spa centre and barn were particular highlights for us. The children loved singing along to karaoke and playing pool in the barn - a fantastic space for all weathers. I would highly recommend a trip to the beautiful towns of Dinan and Lamballe and, if staying with children, the zoo is also well worth a visit. All in all, a beautiful, well-equipped property for all the family to enjoy.
Lindsay W, Guernsey -June 17The Farmhouse is just so beautiful and for the 10 of us who stayed (three generations aged from 2 to 67), it was idyllic. The children played while the adults relaxed. Very well-appointed - I don't think that there was a thing that we needed that wasn't provided. Plenty to do and see within easy driving distance, too, and access from port at St Malo very easy. (No long, tedious trip after crossing!). Thanks Riel and Nick: we had a great holiday.
Sue Litchfield, UK -May 17We have just returned from our second holiday at Les Clos and again this year we were not disappointed. The farmhouse is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a family / dog friendly place of luxury. This year there was the added bonus of the bar and gym as well as the new BBQ area within the decked area at the rear of the property. As the farmhouse is so well stocked with everything possible you might want from baby spoons to slow cookers all we had to do is arrive with our clothes... The local boulangerie is extremely friendly and only a few minutes away. The supermarket in Plenee is well stocked with more items than you will ever need on your holiday. There are plenty of day trips to be had all within an hour from the farmhouse if you can bare to drag yourself away from your retreat. The owners are very helpful throughout the whole booking process, including providing telephone numbers and addresses for the local vets and it was a delight to be greeted again by Paul and Libby ( the property managers) who had ensured everything was just perfect for all our requirements. A holiday at Les Clos is something to be experienced, a perfect retreat for you and your loved ones.
Wendy H, UK -June 17We visited Le Clos in July 2017. First impressions were excellent – the property looked even more impressive than the online photographs – the property is in a lovely picturesque area which is quiet but also very well situated to get to lots of great activities by car. The accommodation was the most stylish and luxurious self catering accommodation we have experienced in Northern France. Everything is modern and clean and the kitchen is well stocked equipment wise, so you can easily cook a big meal for your group. The rooms are a lovely size, and the layout would work for a large family with different ages – or in our case, 3 couples and a feral bunch of 5 children aged between 4 and 8! We mainly went out in the day time either for lunch, to visit a picturesque town or an activity with the children (our favourite was tree top activity at Charabanc in Plelo). We then came back late afternoon so that the children could get in the swim spa, or play on the trampoline or swing set. – while the adults enjoyed a relaxing glass of wine (or two!). Once the children were in bed, we retreated to the bar which is actually a renovated barn (with lots of original features). Handily we could hear the children through the baby monitor, and they weren’t disturbed by our highly entertaining Karaoke attempts. It was such good fun, would definitely love to go again. I would also recommend for a winter break, I could just imagine sitting there in front of one of the gorgeous fireplaces eating delicious French food – and wine of course.
Dave Guernsey -July 17From the moment you enter the drive, you already know you have made the right choice. At the head of the drive is a gorgeous rustic farmhouse, to the side, large granite barns, surrounded by well groomed gardens and shelter by tall trees for privacy. Inside...... well... it only gets better. Truly amazing open space, with a real homely feel. The decor is modern and a huge amount of attention to detail, ensuring that the character has not been lost. Excellent place to stay with family and friends. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you must explore the barn/bar... I won't give anymore away, but you are in for a real treat.
Jackie, UK -April 17We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Les Clos. The farmhouse was delightful and very comfortably equipped, jam packed with everything you might need and exuded in French charm. (The wifi reception was good so the kids were happy). The property is located in an area of quiet countryside. When you turn off the lights at night it is pitch black and all you can hear are the owls hooting. A good few hours were spent swimming, we also enjoyed some tasty meals in the neighbouring villages. There is ample private space to sit outside and BBQ. You definitely need a car (or bicycle) to explore the area, there are some interesting towns and villages not too far away that are worth a visit. All in all it was a very relaxing, enjoyable holiday, one that I would most certainly recommend .
S Mendonca, Guernsey -July 17We have recently returned from a week at Les Clos and it is the nicest place we have ever stayed! The Farmhouse is stunning, really well equipped (we needn't have taken half the things we did) and nothing is too much trouble for the owners or Paul and Libby the managers. It is spacious enough that multiple families can stay without being on top of one another. Our two young children loved the toy cupboard and we struggled to get them out of the pool! Would highly recommend for all ages.
E Otty, Guernsey -Sept 16We had a fantastic time at the Farmhouse, it had everything we needed and more. The host Riel was very informative and answered every question we had prior to our stay. Family and Friends were very impressed and would definitely come back again.
Georgette, UK -Sept 16Had a fantastic week, accommodation was great. Lovely to have the outdoor space which was used by all. Really enjoyed looking after, feeding and patting the sheep. We were made very welcome by Paul and Libby who showed us round the farmhouse. Had a lovely meal at The Prieure in Lamballe and lots of fun had at Jugon-Les-Lacs on the lake. Would happily go back again.
Collette, UK -Aug 16An amazing family and friends experience I stayed at this fantastic farmhouse over New Year 2016 with family and had the most wonderful time. There were 16 of us in total and the house took is all in great comfort. We arrived on the 30th December on a cold, frosty and foggy afternoon. The driveway to the house and the drive into it is beautiful, just what I expected and wanted from a French countryside farmhouse. There is loads of parking for the cars we collected at Rennes airport and the 45 minute journey is simple enough, taking you through the local village on your way to the house. Entering the house was exciting. We entered through the front right door and the first room we saw was the HUGE living room. It’s enormous. It houses a massive corner sofa which easily sits 12 people, a real log burning fire was already lit and was toasty warm. So cosy and fantastic, making you forget about the shivering outside weather. The kitchen was to the left and is really modern, offering every luxury you’d want. This was a real plus point for us. Very often you stay in rented accommodation only to find it lacking it utensils and kitchen gadgets. This place has them all. Through the hallway there is another living room which is very large with sofas and a further large flat screen TV. There are 2 sets of wooden stairs to take you to the 1st floor, one at each end of the house. Here we found 5 double bedrooms, some with 2 double beds and en suits in.Another flight of stairs takes you to the mezzanine bedroom which is huge and has another 2 double beds. Very impressive! The whole house is decorated lovely, keeping all the old features and exposed stonework but with modern touches throughout. A huge surprise was back outside to the front of the house. One of the barns has been converted to a bar and games room. Housing a pool table, stocked bar, log burning fire and a mezzanine lounge. It’s truly fabulous. We spent so much time in here. Don’t forget to go for a dip in the outside hot tub/swim spa. It’s lovely and warm and is great on cold days with a cheeky glass of fizz! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We are already planning our next trip. Thanks Nick and Riel! Neil Birchall Operations Director Banc Media
Neil Birchall -Dec 16We stayed here only a week ago and had a fantastic time. We were a party of 4 couples and 3 babies under the age of 6 months. The farmhouse is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you could need when travelling as a family. It is also really well located with lots of places to visit and activities to take part in being nearby. We are already talking about revisiting next year.
Sam Paluch -Sep 16We had an amazing time staying here , the facilities were beautiful and luxurious , loved soaking in the pool and walking to the local village to get freshly baked croissants.
Karen Anderson -Sep 16We had the most amazing time here in May. Nothing was too much for the lovely owners who had laid on a special cake for my 50th Birthday along with a beautiful bunch of flowers and some bubbly! Its a magical tranquil setting if you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all. There were 10 of us staying at the farm house but it never felt crowded as there is so much space to and chill. The garden is amazing but the cherry on top of the cake has to be the hot tub/swim spa....totally awesome!!
Alison Eastwood -May 16Beautiful Farmhouse located in a beautiful area, lots of space for our children to have fun and it's so peaceful! We have had a fantastic holiday, would definitely recommend. My family will definitely be staying again in the future.
Vicky Tucker, Guernsey -Sep 16Our group of 4 adults and 3 children had a super week in Plenee. The house is so well equipped, furnished very nicely and a real hit with the children. Libby and Paul gave us a great induction tour and we had no problems at all throughout our stay. The hot tub and party pool was a very popular feature (as was the welcome hamper, childrens play equipment and coffee machine for the adults!). The local village/town was good. We used 1 of the 2 boulangeries every day, ordered take away pizzas from La Latino and had to go into the Pharmacy on one day as our son and bitten through his lip - they were very helpful! We will definitely be back. Thank you!
Simon, UK -June 16An amazing farmhouse with superb facilities for larger families & groups. In a beautiful part of France with lots to do nearby. Loved the long lazy lunches in Pleine Jugon and Dinard. This place is seriously luxurious and It has been perfectly updated with modern funky wallpapers & furniture. Lots of the original features have also been retained so it feels really homely, especially when those huge stone fireplaces are lit in the evenings! Loads of fun in the garden for the kids too with trampolines & play areas & the swimming pool. Lovely to watch them from the jacuzzi with a chilled glass of wine in hand! Had a truly perfect week and we can't wait to return. Have already booked for next year!
Vikki, UK -July 16I had been hoping to spend my 50th birthday somewhere lovely, but Les Clos was much, much more, it was perfect! From the moment we drove up the magnificent driveway we were speechless. We were greeted by Paul and Libby who were extremely helpful throughout our stay. The farmhouse has everything you might need and more, from baby spoons and toys right up to smart TV's and play stations - it covered all ages. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat for you and your loved ones or a place for you and your friends to re-group this is the perfect place. I have just spent a week with 3 generations of my family and our 2 pet dogs at the farmhouse I can confidently say you will not be disappointed - it is the perfect place for your holiday.
Wendy H, UK -May 16Great place, really clean, spatious, warm and luxurious. The kids loved the toys, trampoline, Spa and big garden. Did not want to go home any more. Nor did we ;-).
Rogier, France -May 16We can't recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic interior, stunning grounds, everything you could possibly want in a holiday home. The location is amazing, so peaceful yet only a short drive to some fantastic places. There's something for everyone from beaches to castles and picturesque towns and villages. Local restaurants offer delicious food with stunning views and great value too. If you want a real taste of France just book it, you will love it! We miss it so much that we have already booked to go back at New Year.
