Dinan – What an Enchanting Place!

Wow Dinan, what an amazing place, it is quite simply enchanting! This character filled walled Breton Town with its quirky cobblestone paved streets and traditional timbered Medieval houses, can easily be reached from the Farmhouse,  with just a short 15-20 minute drive along the mostly quiet scenic roads to the historical centre. Famous for its beautiful port, Dinan offers its visitors a romantic atmosphere, particularly when you take a stroll down possibly one of the most stunning ‘diagon ally’ style streets, Rue de Jerzual (which was Dinan’s main point of access until the 1800’s) with its many art galleries and craft shops – this special street leads directly from the heart of the historical centre to the Rue du Petit Port. This beautiful setting deserves to be appreciated not only by couples, but also by families and groups of friends. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, creperies, patisseries, brasseries and everything else you may wish to find in a beautiful French Town.

Its also worth checking out the weekly market held every Thursday morning held on the big car park square, near the tourism office or the Flee Market held every Wednesday in July & August. You can also take a boat trip from Dinard or St Malo to the port of Dinan or take a ride on one of the fun sight seeing trains.
